Alexis was born and raised in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The first move she ever made was from the home she had lived in for the first 20 years of her life, to Santa Barbara where she has been a student at Brooks Institute of Photography for the past 2 years. She knew from about sixth grade that she had an interest in photography, but it wasn’t until her dad passed his old Nikon F2 to her that her interest blossomed into a passion. The rest, as they say, is history....or maybe history in the making. Someday Alexis would like to become a photography teacher as well as a small studio owner and photographer. Alexis Chantarelle
