Gingerbread

From Brer Rabbit Molasses label.

Ingredients
2 eggs
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. either molasses
3/4 c. shortening, melted
2 1/2 c. flour
2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. baking powder
2 t. ground ginger
1 1/2 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. ground cloves
1/2 t. nutmeg
1 c. boiling water

Directions
Beat eggs with sugar until light and fluffy. Add molasses and shortening; mix well.

Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and spices. Add to molasses mixture; mix well.

Stir in boiling water. Pour batter in greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until tests done. Cool. Serve with whipped cream.
